Time Out

It was my custom to spend January alone with the Lord, reflecting on the past year and listening for the new one. Now I have been given a week away to rest, be alone, and listen in silence to my Lord.

This morning I heard Matthew 4. The three temptations of Jesus. The issues: 1. Listen 2. Obey 3. Worship
This could be said another way: Hear, Go, Love.

It is the simple way to follow Christ, simple enough for anyone ~ man, woman, child. Always I am being reduced back to that foundation. To live for His will, to seek His will out of love for Him. That love serves Him, not people, not works, not ME.

Good morning Martha Just a week now? You should be angry about that... (Don't listen to me, I don't want to disturb your rest time with bad thoughts.) Haha. xD It is true what you say. If you do not listen, you CANNOT obey. If you do listen, but do not obey, you despise Him. If you listen, and obey, and do not abide in Love, you just cannot reap anything good at all, becouse you will probably die. Worship (or loving God), which is sort of "sacrifice", is what strengthens your inner man. So, LOVE, and more LOVE to you and this ministry from the Father of Love.
