“Our life will be judged not on the basis of accomplishments nor service but on the degree of surrender to the Law of the Spirit...in REALITY.” — Martha Kilpatrick (Manna, 01/19/06)

Heaven’s Rule: The Light of the World Has Come!
Heaven’s Rule: The Light of the World Has Come!
Author: Martha Kilpatrick

The giant universe reveals God and points to His Son . . . for Whose delight it was fashioned and in Whose holy hand it is held. The heavens preside. Heaven rules the day, the night, the hour, the year . . . the crops, the tides. And we live ever under the lines drawn by the heavens above us. For us. If not to God, at least to the "lights," we submit. In the Heavens, the Father utterly rules, issuing life-in-light, down to us.

Introduction:

Light and Darkness are entities, spiritual beings. God being Light; Satan, Darkness.

Darkness stalks humanity and Light pursues mankind. If Light is not illuminating, Darkness will be extinguishing. If Light with all its blazing danger is not the choice, Darkness will take over by default to overshadow and ultimately overpower.

The unending conflict of the universe,
from the greatest nation down to the
simplest and smallest life is this terrible combat
of utter opposites - Light and Dark.

And no creature is hidden from His sight,
but all are naked and exposed
to the eyes of him to whom
we must give account.

Hebrews 4:13 ESV
(Reading Isaiah 5; Psalm 36)

Light is excruciating.
It shines - not on me - but within me
and finds the closets of my secret musings.

Light goes right past my wordings,
straight through my thinking
and splays open my tricky heart.
In the Light I see as God sees . . . me.

Light names everything
in transparency.
In blank realism.

Yet ever and in all ways,
humanity prefers darkness . . . .

* * * * *
We can ever shine amply on the darkness of another
yet that may not be light . . . at all.
It can be darkness naming darkness.

To uncover another's unenlightenment
means I must stand exposed
under the same penetrating scrutiny of
a holy searchlight.
My blindness cured.
My ignorance uncovered.
By the solution - Healing Light.

I see by my own seeing.

I can only dispel darkness by
an extremely personal,
austere exposure to the
Unimpeachable Light.

In Thy light we see light.Ps. 36:9

* * * * * * *

It is possible - in fact it is typical -
to resist the Light and claim to see.
It is possible . . . and typical
to call darkness by the name of light.

Woe to those who call evil good
    who put darkness for light
       and light for darkness . . .

Isa. 5:20 ESV

There is a terrible "woe" that comes forth by
such a deliberate perversion of real light.

so their root shall be as rottenness
                     and their blossom go up like dust;

  verse 24
and their corpses were as refuse
    verse 25b

One thing to be in the darkness of ignorance,
quite another to have hated light enough
to viciously rename it . . . darkness.

The ultimate darkness: death.
